David has spent his entire career working in the investment industry beginning in 1989. He has had a broad and diverse career working with individual and institutional investors.
Before co-founding The Aletheia Capital Group at &Partners with his two partners, he spent 21 years at Oppenheimer & Co as an Executive Director – Investments. His focus with Aletheia has been both private and institutional wealth management.
His first work experience was at FBW Investment Management in Washington, D.C. as an analyst and assistant portfolio manager. After graduate school, David spent 7 years at Conning Asset Management, a global investment management firm serving the insurance industry, as an analyst tasked with identifying and evaluating investments in the private placement debt market. Additional responsibilities at Conning included work on a team sub-advising active equity strategies.
David worked as a portfolio manager at Banc of America Capital Management (BACAP) prior to joining Oppenheimer. He was a member of a team responsible for $4.5B in U.S. mid and large- cap growth equity strategies. The portfolio team had specific responsibility for several mutual funds within the Nations Funds family (now Columbia ThreadNeedle Funds) owned by Bank of America as well as managing a similar strategy for a large state pension fund.
The culmination of these experiences is to work with his partners at Aletheia to provide clients with knowledgeable, creative and sophisticated solutions to helping grow and maintaining wealth.
David holds a B.A. in English from Tulane University, an M.B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute. David is married with two daughters. In addition to work and family, David is involved in his community. He is also a passionate cyclist and lover of outdoor adventure anywhere in the world it takes him.
